Health Club Supervisor

Four Seasons Hotel Riyadh at Kingdom Centre is looking for individuals who are holding Saudi's nationality.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Assists the Department Head in motivating and developing a skilled team, leads by example and instills a culture of continuous learning and improvement among employees; actively participates in Employee Relations activities and programs.
  • Responsible for the administration of the Health Club Membership. Maintains professional and consistent Health Club Member relations, ensuring all complaints are resolved and member experience is maximized.
  • Responsible for overseeing the Personal Training operation, ensuring standards are maintained to maximize guest experience and revenue.
  • Is actively involved in training, standard testing and product knowledge training of all Health Club employees.
  • Ensures the department is kept in an organized manner in accordance with company philosophy and policies, maximizing efficiency and productivity and achieving established goals; promotes harmony between all departments.
  • Displays warmth, care and genuine enthusiasm when dealing with guests and

internal customers; lives the Golden Rule.

  • Demonstrates standards awareness, by setting example for standards

execution, standards testing and implementing action plans to achieve established

  • Assists management in preparing annual plans, forecasts and managing expenses to meet departmental budgetary goals.
  • Assists the Department Head in monitoring all facility and service standards and appraise of any operational opportunities when necessary.
  • Oversees the maintenance and general upkeep of the Spa & Fitness areas, including outdoor pool and sport facilities.
  • Assists the Department Head for the day to day operations of the Spa & Fitness department.
  • Maintains an organized administration of departmental and personnel records, including roster and leave planning.
  • Ensures employees adhere to the code of conduct and grooming & hygiene standards as specified in the employee handbook.
  • Provides regular and fair performance feedback to employees, formally and informally as appropriate.
  • Is seen as a hands-on leader, assists employees in crunch times; Walks the Talk.
  • Proposes personal goals and objectives based on self-analysis of strengths and weaknesses; achieves agreed goals.
  • Maintains a clean and orderly work area and ensures tools & equipment are well maintained and in sufficient supply and takes appropriate action.
  • Promotes and ensures a safe working environment. Performs any additional duties as assigned.
  • Trains, schedules, monitors employee performance, discipline and completes payroll for all personnel in the department with the assistance and guidance of Department Head.
  • Monitors the housekeeping standards and mechanical effectiveness of all facilities, report deficiencies as they occur and follows-up.
  • Monitors operating expenses and guest supplies for the department and generates necessary purchase requisitions for a smooth operation.
  • Ensures all Health Club equipment is functioning properly without causing any Inconvenience to guests and members. All operational & guest supplies are well stocked for a smooth functioning of the Department.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Degree in physical education, sports management or similar.
  • Two years of relevant experience in the Fitness industry.

Knowledge and Skills

  • At least two years of experience as a Personal Trainer.
  • Solid supervisory, inter-personal and communication skills
  • Excellent problem solving skills
  • People Management skills
  • Time Management skills
  • A passion for delivering exceptional levels of guest service
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Excellent understanding of operating standards
  • Report writing skills
  • Fluent in English and Arabic
