We are currently recruiting for Casual Resource Development Specialist/s for project specific based work , to join People Learning and Capability team. This role can work from home with the possibility of some travel across the Essential Energy footprint as appropriate for connection and collaboration purposes.
About the role
Reporting to the Industry Skills and Learning Manager, you will be responsible for project and stakeholder management in the design, development, implementation and monitoring of training programs and resource materials for the technical and regulatory training curriculum.
The position is seeking individuals with expertise in areas of renewable and emerging technologies that impact electrical networks ranging from Solar PV arrays, Battery storage, Islandable Microgrids, Stand Alone Powers Stations, EV Charging Stations, Hydrogen Cell technology, and more. The ideal candidate should possess a comprehensive understanding of the Electrotechnology industry and associated training programs. The primary focus of the role is to create resources, develop content and design training courses related to these subject maters.
The responsibilities of the role include reviewing standardised Units of Competency , creating content, and designing training materials to deliver these training programs. Additionally, the role involves developing accredited course content to educate learners in new technologies, especially in cases where industry standards are still evolving, but the technologies are already being integrated onto electrical networks or customers premises.
Key responsibilities:
- Analyse, research opportunities, and make recommendations on learning resource design and development to meet the curriculum needs of Essential Energy’s technical and regulatory training requirements
- Design and develop or establish, monitor, and manage external service providers to produce instructor led competency based training and assessment material, in accordance with VET, National Training Package, AQTF standards and RTO guidelines and Essential Energy’s safety, environment and quality requirements
- To enable the development of training and assessment resources
- Maintain currency with new and emerging learning and VET practices and technologies that enable innovative and user-friendly multimedia, self paced, blended, or distance based materials, programs and delivery systems
- Provide coaching, mentoring and developmental advice to Assessor/Trainers relating to learning resource development activities.
About You
- You are an achievement oriented, customer centric, people focused learning professional.
- You will bring knowledge and application of adult learning and instructional design principles as they interact with modern delivery mediums and platforms.
- This role will showcase your problem-solving abilities and require solid stakeholder engagement skills.
- To add value to this role you will bring demonstrated experience in a similar role in a VET environment, RTO or training function in a large, complex, technical organisation. You will understand Federal and State Government VET initiatives, ASQA standards and how these apply.
Required Qualifications
- Diploma of Training and Assessment or Diploma of Leadership and Management and Certificate IV in Training and Assessment or demonstrated capability through past employment experience and/or relevant qualifications
