HRBP (m/f) [Portugal]

Responsabilities

The HRBP, reports to the Director of Finance and Operations and will be responsible for administering all people-related policies and practices for our school, faculty and staff. The position requires a highly organized and detail-oriented person, with excellent interpersonal skills and a high degree of professionalism and discretion.

The essential functions of this role include:

  • Manage the end-to-end employee lifecycle, from recruitment to exits, and everything in between.
  • Develop, implement, review and maintain the school’s employee policies and procedures, with a focus on collective and individual wellbeing, and local compliance.
  • Support local and international staff in administrative and visa needs, respectively
  • Lead professional development initiatives for faculty and staff.
  • Work with leadership and other team members to build an open, supportive, and thriving culture, through wellbeing initiatives and focussed team and culture building activities.
  • Specific responsibilities Include:Manage all people and Human Resources workstreams across recruitment, payroll, performance management, employee relations, benefits, and compensation.

Oversee the full recruitment process including managing recruitment software, posting jobs, interviewing, and hiring for open positions.
Support development and maintenance of accurate job descriptions.
Coordinates all leaves of absence and liaise with the line managers.
Lead annual employee performance process.

Requirements

  • Degree in Human Resources Management, Psychology or similar.
  • Minimum 5 years of professional experience in Human Resources Development functions
  • Work experience in a school environment will be an asset.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English and Portuguese
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office and Google Workstation
  • Commitment to continuous learning and personal development
  • Clear communicator who can work with stakeholders in many contexts.
  • Experience in multicultural contexts (preferential factor)
  • Awareness of data protection, child protection, confidentiality legislation
  • Kind, pleasant and effective communicator, willing to serve people at all levels in the organization.
  • Well-developed ethics and ability to maintain a high level of discretion with a emphasis on confidentiality, tact, and diplomacy.
