We are looking for a Administration Assistant to join our Finance Team within Arup’s Milan Office.Your role:
The purpose of this role is to support and assist the team with various financial tasks within the organization.
This role has the following areas of focus:
- Recording and reconciling financial transactions, including accounts payable and accounts receivable
- Verifying the accuracy of invoices, expense claims, and other financial documents
- Maintaining accurate and up-to-date financial records in the accounting system
- Assisting in the preparation of monthly tax payments and compliance with tax regulations
- Supporting the month-end and year-end closing processes
- Assisting in financial audits and ensuring compliance with internal controls
- Conducting regular reconciliations of bank accounts and credit card statements
- Assisting in the analysis of financial data and preparing financial reports
- Collaborating with other departments to ensure accurate recording of financial transactions and resolve discrepancies
- Assisting in the development and implementation of financial procedures and policies
- Keeping up-to-date with accounting principles, regulations, and industry trends
Requirements:
- Fluency in both Italian and English
- Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field
- Previous experience in accounting or finance roles is preferred
- Proficient in using accounting software and MS Excel
- Knowledge of Italian accounting principles and financial regulations
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in record-keeping
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team environment
- Effective communication skills, both verbal and written
- Strong organizational and time management skills to meet deadlines
- Ability to handle sensitive and confidential financial information
