We are now expanding our team with a Medical Advisor in our Immunology team in the Biopharmaceuticals Business Unit. This field-based role is located in Denmark and offers the unique opportunity to develop and implement our medical-scientific strategy in the Immunology area, specifically systemic lupus erythematosus and related conditions. The successful candidate will join a dedicated medical team, reporting to the Therapeutic Area Lead, Respiratory & Immunology, Denmark.
The role
As a Medical Advisor, you will be responsible for implementing medical activity plans for AstraZeneca’s marketed products and compounds in development. You will translate scientific insights into strategies and tactics that support business success and enhance decision making. You will also develop long-term relationships with Health Care Professionals (HCPs), patient organizations, and decision makers, driving proactive and reactive interactions through collecting and sharing medical and scientific knowledge across the portfolio. Finally, you will manage cross-functional projects and healthcare collaborations dedicated to enhancing clinical practice.
Essential Skills/Experience:
- Advanced scientific degree, preferably Master’s Degree, in life sciences or a related area
- +2 years of experience from medical affairs
- A pro-active approach with respect to engaging national external partners (e.g. HCPs, patient organizations)
- Strong cross-functional project management experience
- Experience with pre-launch within Medical Affairs
- Excellent presentation and communications skills, both in Danish and English
- Clinical and/or research experience within the relevant therapeutic area
- Strong leadership and management capabilities
- Ability to travel
- Driver’s license required
Desirable Skills/Experience:
While not essential, any additional skills or experience in the field would be beneficial.
