YOUR TASKS
- Research in the field of supply chain resilience within the four-year research initiative SURE (SUstainable and REsilient Interconnected Supply Chains)
- Exploring global, dynamic, non-linear networks in terms of scoping risks and measuring resilience using resilience maturity levels
- Investigate resilience on individual, organizational, supply chain and (inter)national level
- Conducting independent and high-quality basic research in collaboration with academic partners as well as government
- Taking an active role in writing manuscripts for top international journals and meeting with project sponsors
- Active involvement in the SURE research team in order to make sure that project goals are met
- Ensuring a mutual build-up of knowledge and networking with members of the research partner organizations in the course of reflection and discourse of findings and results.
YOUR PROFILE
- A PhD in supply chain management, transportation, logistics, operations management, information systems, engineering, economics, business, or a related discipline
- International exposure, reflected in publications, projects, conference participation and/or guest lectures
- Ability to generate sponsored research and promote technology transfer and entrepreneurship
- Capability and desire to publish in top academic journals
- Ability to present research results and lead meetings in German and English
- Ambition to explore supply chain resilience approaches to address present challenges in terms of coping with instable and risky economic environments.
