The Technical Program Management Intern (m/w/d) will join a talented team of engineers responsible for the planning and execution of all vehicles launches and engineering changes introduced into our factory at Giga Berlin. The role will involve working cross-functionally across several teams globally to ensure all is in place to deliver our launches successfully. Exceptional teamwork and communication skills are mandatory, as you’ll be the key point of contact for tracking and reporting progress of the projects to global teams and highlighting local updates.
- Develop and manage engineering development schedules for specific projects defined in the program, track key milestones and decision points, and ensure they are communicated to the team
- Track and prioritize program and product risks in an organized and methodical way (JIRA, Confluence, SharePoint etc.) Understand technical issues and drive them to closure by bringing together key stakeholders for decision making
- Drive Engineering Bill of Materials/configuration management deliverables to ensure the timely release of all assemblies to production
- Work with Engineering finance for tracking of project budget & cost optimization in product development areas
- Support Drive system mechanical design team with early life engineering test failure analysis
- Perform risk evaluations with engineers using Design Validation Planning (DVP) and Failure mode & effect analysis (FMEAs)
- Drive product integration projects (within semester scope) between mechanical and electrical design groups including firmware.
- Currently working towards a degree in Mechanical Engineering and/or Automotive
- Good communication skills both written and spoken in English
- Experience working with design, development and implementation of projects preferably related to the automotive industry or high-speed automated lines
- Demonstrated ability to facilitate dynamic cross-functional projects with engineering, supply chain, manufacturing and test to meet project timelines
- Proficient at risk management and communication. Experience working in time critical and fast-paced product development
- Ability to manage multiple projects at the same time
