We are looking for an Intern – Accounting & Finance who will be partnering with ANZJK C&C team and support in day-to-day deliverables especially on month-end closing tasks & controls per our ways of working.
Office Location: KL Hub, Quill 9 PJ
Hiring Manager Title: Assistant Financial Controller, CH Close and Control
Period of Internship Required: July 2023- Dec 2023 (6-months full time)
Preferred School/Course of Intern: Open to all disciplines
You will be required to:
Participate in completing month-end GL (general ledger) close and reporting of entity’s results to Corporate.
Responsible in the preparation of balance sheet reconciliations, preparation of journal entries and execution of internal control in accordance with GSK Internal Control Framework.
Collaborate within the team, stakeholders, and other functions (P2P, O2C, Stat & Tax) to ensure successful month-end close.
By joining with this internship, you will be able to:
Obtain high level overview of the close and control-related processes, systems, and activities.
Support various month-end closing and controls tasks.
Learn teamwork and engagement with team members and stakeholders
We are looking for someone with the following:
Business Skills and Competencies:
Educational background – Degree with Finance / Accounting
Proficient in use of IT and software/systems such as excel.
Behavioral Skills and Competencies:
Strong written and oral communications skills.
Deadline-driven, flexible with self-reliance to work in an empowered environment.
Proactive attitude to process improvement.
Awareness and ability to work within culturally diverse teams.
Demonstrated ability to take initiative, think and work independently, problem-solve, work in teams, and focus on delivering assigned work.
