We are currently recruiting for a Junior
Quality / Health & Safety Administrator to join our team in our head office in Galway. The ideal candidate would have


  • Ensure the QMS is established, implemented and maintained and continually improve its effectiveness in accordance with ISO 9000 standards.
  • Ongoing review of company procedures / manuals ensuring adherence to standards.
  • Identify necessary resources and information that will support the implementation and monitoring of the QMS.
  • Liaise with external parties on quality system matters and during audits.
  • Ensure Internal Quality Audits are properly carried out to monitor and measure the status of the QMS as scheduled.
  • Ensure all NCRs are properly rectified and CAPAs are implemented.
  • Action continuous quality improvement measures throughout the business.
  • Ensure adequate planning is carried out in order to maintain and improve the effectiveness of the QMS and attainment of Quality Objectives.
  • Ensure effective internal communication takes place regarding the application and compliance of the QMS.
  • Ensure optimum sequences and interaction of processes are determined and actioned.
  • Ensure criteria and methods are clearly defined for both operation and control of processes to be effectively performed.
  • Liaise and communicate on Quality performance, updates and procedures on a weekly basis with Operations Management Team.
  • Schedule, measure & monitor Equipment Maintenance in line with our Quality Procedure.
  • Auditing of employee training completion and training expiry dates and follow up with relevant management.
  • Liaise on an ongoing basis with SSE and customer management to determine customer requirements and prepare site specific specifications and checklists.
  • Promotion of awareness of customer requirements throughout the organization.
  • Support in training and up skilling of employees to enhance knowledge of ISO & cGMP Standards.
  • Carry out induction training with new employees on all Health & Safety matters pertaining to their role and specific to the site they work on.
  • Knowledge of Cleanroom environments in Pharma & Medical device sites.
  • Compilation, review and update of SSE Safety Statement.
  • Assigning and monitoring of online Health & Safety training.
  • Ensure chemical Risk Assessments are carried out and reviewed periodically.
  • Preparation of power point presentations and toolbox talks.
  • Assist with Accident & Incident investigation ensuring corrective actions are put in place.
  • Organising and scheduling of MEWP training, work at height training, first aid training, safe pass training, safety rep training etc.
  • Provide assistance and support to middle and senior management.
  • Designing industry specific Health & Safety training courses.
  • Management of Health & Safety audits using software package.
  • Preparing Method Statements and Risk Assessments for Industrial team for works including height, high risk tasks etc.
  • Preparing and training staff in completing Safe Systems of Work Plans.
  • Ensure all Manual Handling and refresher training is carried out with each employee.
  • Ensure full and accurate health and safety and training records are maintained including chemical awareness training and tool box talks.
  • Ensure that all Health & Safety policies, procedures, rules and regulations are adhered to and are regularly reviewed, updated and communicated.
  • Co-ordinate the development of health & safety policies, systems of work and procedures.
  • Establish a full programme of documented health & safety inspections, audits and checks.
  • Establish a structured programme of health & safety training throughout the Company.


Authority includes, but is not limited to, the following:

  • Ensure that processes needed for the QMS is determined and ensure its application throughout the organization.
  • Ensure that all documents needed for the QMS are established and adequately defined prior to issue and use.
  • Authorised to decide on resolving conflicts and irregularities regarding the application of the QMS in compliance with ISO 9001 Standard and the company’s policies and procedures.
  • Authorized to acquire necessary information on matters that will affect the QMS and execute necessary controls or directives to ensure that the integrity of the QMS will be maintained when changes are being planned and implemented.
  • Authorized to call meetings for information updates and collate suggestions or recommendations to solve problems and improvement in the QMS.


  • It may be necessary to work alternative hours, shift patterns or unsociable hours including weekends from time to time.
