JSI is in a period of unprecedented growth and we are currently seeking candidates for multiple openings for OSP (Outside Plant) operations who possess a genuine interest in performing telecom engineering work supporting rural fiber projects. The positions are open in multiple locations.
Qualifications/Roles
• OSP Inspector - An OSP Inspector will be expected to provide expert supervision of construction crews to ensure contractors are placing fiber optic cable in accordance with our customer’s requests (buried, underground, aerial). These roles are open in Montana, Wyoming, Wisconsin, Iowa, Minnesota, and Utah.
• OSP Resident - An OSP Resident/Lead Inspector will be expected to be capable of engineering routine and specific outside plant work orders and providing field support to the outside plant work forces. These positions are open in Wyoming and Michigan.
• Design Engineer - Outside Plant (OSP) design engineer performs Fiber-to-the-Premise Outside Plant design tasks related to telecommunications infrastructure projects. These roles are open in Swartz Creek, MI.
• Staker – Stakers perform field engineering and staking to produce final outside plant construction plans for FTTx build-outs. These roles are available in South Central Virginia (Pittsylvania county and surrounding areas).
• Program Manager - OSP Program Manager will be responsible for leading and managing large, Outside Plant (OSP) Fiber to the Home (FTTH) network design and implementation projects. This role is available in South Central Virginia.
Education and/or Experience
- Candidates in these roles must perform repetitive physical motions of bending, standing, climbing, and walking on uneven terrain. (You will be exposed to various weather conditions)
- Must provide own vehicle but will be paid per mile.
- Overtime is often required.
- The positions require US Citizenship or Permanent Resident status.
