The Student Operations Unit is the primary administrative information contact point for UOW staff in supporting the administrative tasks for students from enrolment to conferral.
We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled individual to join our team as the Manager of Student Operations (Exams Quality Improvement). In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the quality improvement of all aspects of exam administration, including scheduling, preparation, and distribution of exams.
As the Manager of Student Operations (Exams Quality Improvement), you will be responsible for ensuring that our exams team adheres to university policies and procedures, and that all exams are administered in a manner that is consistent, accurate, and reliable. You will be committed to continual process improvement, with a strong focus on change management.
To be successful in this role, candidates are required to meet the essential selection criteria as listed in the position description below and possess a range of personal attributes to make this position a success, including;
- The ability to communicate clearly and effectively with a wide range of stakeholders.
- Experience in establishing and maintaining strong relationships with stakeholders across the University to gain trust and buy-in when implementing improvements to systems and processes.
- Proven analytical skills and the ability to identify areas for improvement in systems and processes, leading to ongoing improvement.
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to review and updating web content.
- The ability to provide efficient and effective customer service.
- The capacity to work jointly to deliver key processes and operations related to exams at all UOW campuses during peak periods ensuring a frictionless and efficient exam experience for students.
- Strong problem-solving skills, as well as the ability to apply critical thinking and judgment.
- The capacity to adapt to changing circumstances and respond to unexpected challenges during peak periods when demand is high.
- Experience preparing complex reports and briefing papers, analysing data, and making recommendations as needed.
- Previous experience developing and implementing quality assurance framework.
