POSITION SUMMARY:

  • This position is responsible for the general cleaning of the facilities, housekeeping, and other maintenance duties as need it.
  • POSITION ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO:
  • Provides general cleaning of the facilities. Ensures that all repairs are met and maintained. it maintained.
  • Janitor will be responsible for cleaning floors, carpets, walls, doors, seats, sidewalks, parking lots.
  • Maintains restroom cleanliness on a day to day basis. Replenishes restroom supplies (toilet paper, paper towels, soap, etc.)
  • Keeps cleaning equipment, and chemicals (mops, brooms, dust pans, vacuum cleaners, shampooers, etc.) clean and in good working order.
  • Cleans and organizes the Janitor’s closet.
  • Properly utilizes Personal Protective Equipment while completing position specific tasks.
  • Disposes of trash in commercial trash dumpster or compactor.
  • Monitors safety issues (trip hazards, lighting, suspicious persons, etc.) and reports issues to Maintenance Manager/Lead.
  • Reports facility related issues to Maintenance Manager/Lead.
  • Performs other work-related duties as assigned.


IDEAL CANDIDATE WILL HAVE:

  • Ability to work in a team environment and independently
  • Bilingual proficiency in English/Spanish preferred.
  • Ability to safely mix chemicals (cleaning chemicals).
  • Ability to safely dispose of used chemicals in compliance with state and local regulations.
  • Any all knowledge of chemical cleaning usage.


REQUIRED EDUCATIONS AND/OR EXPERIENCE:

  • High School Diploma or GED preferred, but not required.
